What is the growth rate you expect the company to post in the UAE in 2016?
Arrow: I can share with you that our enterprise computing business in the EMEA region increased 6% year over year in Q2 2016. We had growth in the infrastructure software portfolio including analytics, security, proprietary servers and service. We are unable to discuss our forecast growth.
What are the latest products or solutions the company plans to announce during GITEX 2016?
Research reports indicate that Hyper-converged infrastructure market has emerged to be one of the fastest-growing and most valuable technology segments in the industry. We continue to see the HCI approach garnering attention of IT leaders and business stakeholders as they strive to transform data center infrastructure into a more agile, scalable, and predictable one while operating under budget and resources constrains to meet ever-changing business requirements.
We would like to assists SMEs and enterprises to evaluate their current data center capability and assess what hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions and best practices they should consider as they transform their data center to meet complex business needs in the digital economy. At Arrow’s booth, more than 30 technology specialists from Check Point, Dell EMC, F5, Forcepoint, Intel Security, Netscout, RSA, and Trend Micro will join a team of Arrow’s business solution consultants to discuss and provide insights to solution providers and enterprises on emerging trends including software-driven infrastructures Among the innovative technology solutions on display at Arrow’s booth are EMC VxRail hyper-converged infrastructure appliance and its industry-leading flash products. In addition, technology training is also critical to enterprises. Arrow provides authorized training courses with real-world experienced certified training instructors using hands-on lab facilities, including Arrow’s official IBM Systems and Software training courses as well as certified training from RSA, Dell EMC and Forcepoint.
How do you evaluate the UAE ongoing expenditure on the IT sector in 2016?
If we take a look at market research reports: IT spending by the business sector in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) is expected to total $57.69 billion in 2016, with a five-year CAGR of 6% through 2020. The telecommunications ($12.88 billion), finance ($9.27 billion), government ($8.85 billion), and manufacturing ($7.13 billion) sectors will account for the largest share of spending this year.
However, what is not being fully reflected behind the data scene: enterprises are facing challenges on how to deploy IT solution not only to reduce costs and drive efficiency improvements, but also what digital transformation initiatives they need to embrace to drive competitive differentiation and achieve success in current prevailing economic environment. The focus will be how to do more with less. How to achieve automation, orchestration, and agile IT infrastructure that intelligently scales as and when the business needs it. How to achieve cost efficiency but not at the expense of availability or reliability…
Who are the stakeholders with the highest demand of the company’s solutions or services?
We have had success selling alongside our partners into verticals such as Government, Finance Banking and Insurance, Oil and Gas, Healthcare and Hospitality. More recently we have been working closely with our vendors and partners to create opportunities in the Mid-Market and SMB space.
What is the company’s market share in the region in general, and in the UAE in particular?
