AED37 Million Nukote Coating Systems Middle East Facility Targeting Infrastructure and Construction Projects

Nukote Coating Systems International, a leading global provider of high technology coating solutions for the construction and oil & gas industries, today announced the creation of Nukote Coating Systems Middle East LLC which, in collaboration with a consortium of UAE based investors, will build and run an AED37 million (US$10 million) state-of-the-art polymer blending facility located in the Dubai Investment Park in Dubai. The facility will produce some 90,000 tons per annum at full capacity.

“Nukote Coating Systems Middle East LLC will be up and running by the end of this year and will supply polymer coatings and insulations for use in infrastructure projects such as bridges, roads, water distribution and treatment facilitates, and serve as insulation protection for major cooling projects in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman,” said Michael Osborne, President and CEO of Nukote Coating Systems International. “We are fully committed to increasing our local distribution and application capabilities by fully supporting the efforts of our regional distributors and applicators throughout the region.”

Nukote Coating Systems Middle East is a joint venture between Nukote Coating Systems International and a consortium of UAE based investors lead by Nadia Baradihi, Managing Director of Unicorn Business Development Consultants.

“The facility will produce high grade Polyureas, Polyurethanes, ceramic metal polymers and primers targeting the booming construction sector in the UAE as well as government infrastructure projects,” said Baradihi. “Covering an area of 7,000 square meters, the facility will include research and development, sales and technical support personnel and is projected to generate AED250 million (US$68 million) per annum at full capacity which we expect to reach in five years.”

Nukote distributes their products through a global alliance of regional distributors. GCC distributors of Nukote products include Ahmed Mansoor Al A’Ali Co. in Bahrain, Al Bader Group in Kuwait, Hitech Products in Qatar, Khimji Permoglaze in Oman and ADMI in Abu Dhabi. Fosroc Global Holdings is the Master Distributor for Nukote with Al Gurg Fosroc representing Nukote in the GCC, Fosam Company Limited in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Fosroc Global Trading in other Middle East regions.

The company develops and manufactures advanced polymer coating, liner and membrane systems utilized in petrochemical, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing and civil construction markets, distributing them through a network of affiliated distribution and application firms globally.
